PCAB – The Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board is a Statutory Licensing and Regulatory body charged with licensing and regulating contractors in the country.
Formed by virtue of PD 1746 with primary purpose – to ensure, for the safety of the public, that only qualified and reliable contractors are allowed to undertake construction in the country. The decree also aims to promote for the benefit of the public and private sectors and for the national interest, the orderly growth of the contracting sector and the upgrading of construction capability.
PCA – Philippine Constructor’s Association, Inc. is a respected organization and a catalyst for the continuous improvement of standards and practices to achieve a sustainable and globally competitive construction industry to benefit primarily the Philippines, the Filipino people, and the world.
SOPI -The Safety Organization of the Philippines is a non-profit, non-governmental, national public service organization dedicated to protecting life and promoting health. Members of SOPI include businesses, schools, public agencies, private groups, labor organizations and individuals. Founded in 1959, the primary focus of SOPI is preventing deaths and injuries that occur in workplace, homes, communities and roads. The Safety Organization of the Philippines, Inc. spearheads the national safety movement by the way of promoting safety consciousness and accident prevention.
LEED – Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design is a third party certification program & nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance buildings. Developed by the US Green Building council in 2000 through a consensus based process, LEED serves as a tool for buildings of all types & sizes. LEED certification offers third party validation of a project’s green features and verifies that the building is operating exactly the way it was designed to.
PHILGEPS – The Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System
is the central portal of all public procurement activities that provides both government agencies and suppliers a more open, transparent and competitive environment.
It serves as the official system to advertise and distribute specifications for public bidding opportunities and also contains information related to doing business with the government such as rules and regulations, press releases, a directory of government agencies and contacts, planned and historical agency procurement, bid matching for suppliers, potential competitors, winning bidders, and a frequently asked questions section.
